Getting Started

Focus is provided by your organization. To get started:

  1. Download the Focus app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
  2. Enter your organization's server URL provided by your administrator
  3. Sign in with the credentials provided by your organization
  4. Set up multi-factor authentication if required by your organization
  5. You're ready to clock in, view schedules, and manage leave requests

Troubleshooting

Cannot sign in

  • Verify your server URL, email, and password are correct
  • Check your internet connection
  • Contact your organization's administrator to confirm your account is active
  • Use the "Forgot Password" option to reset your password

Clock in/out not working

  • Ensure location services are enabled for the Focus app
  • Verify you are within range of a designated work location
  • For QR scanning, ensure camera permission is granted
  • For NFC check-in, hold your device near the NFC tag for 1-2 seconds

Push notifications not received

  • Check that notifications are enabled for Focus in your device settings
  • Ensure the app is not restricted by battery optimization settings
  • Sign out and sign back in to refresh your notification token

App crashes or freezes

  • Update to the latest version of Focus from the App Store or Google Play
  • Restart the app or your device

What is Focus?

Focus is a workforce management and attendance tracking app that allows employees to clock in/out, manage leave requests, view schedules, and receive work-related notifications. It is available on iOS, Android, and web.

Who can use Focus?

Focus is provided by your organization. You need an account created by your organization's administrator to use the app. It is not available for individual sign-up.

Is Focus free to use?

The Focus app is free to download. Your organization manages the subscription and provides you with access credentials.

What platforms does Focus support?

Focus is available on iOS (iPhone), Android, and as a web application accessible from any modern browser.

Attendance & Clock In/Out

How do I clock in or out?

You can clock in/out using three methods: scanning a QR code at your work location, tapping an NFC tag with your device, or using the manual clock button in the app (if enabled by your organization).

Why does the app need my location?

Location is used only during clock in/out to verify you are at a designated work location. Your location is not tracked continuously or in the background. You can review our Privacy Policy for full details.

I forgot to clock in/out. What should I do?

Contact your manager or administrator. They can add or adjust attendance records on your behalf through the admin dashboard.

Can I view my attendance history?

Yes. Go to the Attendance section in the app to view your clock in/out records, daily hours, and attendance status for any date range.

Leave Management

How do I request leave?

Go to Leave Requests in the app, tap New Request, select the leave type, dates, and add any notes. Your request will be sent to your manager for approval.

How will I know if my leave is approved?

You will receive a push notification when your leave request is approved or rejected. You can also check the status in the Leave Requests section of the app.

Can I cancel a leave request?

Yes, you can cancel a pending leave request from the Leave Requests section. Once a request has been approved, contact your manager to discuss any changes.

Notifications

What notifications will I receive?

Focus sends notifications for leave request approvals/rejections, clock-in reminders, schedule changes, and other work-related alerts configured by your organization.

How do I turn off notifications?

You can manage notification preferences in the app settings, or disable notifications entirely through your device's Settings > Focus > Notifications.

Account & Security

How do I reset my password?

Tap Forgot Password on the sign-in screen and follow the instructions. You can also contact your organization's administrator to reset your password.

What is MFA and how do I set it up?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. When enabled, you'll need to enter a code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator) in addition to your password. Set it up in Profile > MFA Settings.

How do I delete my account?

Account management is handled by your organization. Contact your administrator or email [email protected] to request account deletion.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text, and access is controlled through role-based permissions. Read our Privacy Policy for more details.
