This Privacy Policy describes how Focus ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Focus attendance tracking mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account Information

• Name, email address, and employee ID as provided by your organization
• Authentication credentials (stored securely, passwords are never stored locally)

Attendance Data

• Clock in/out timestamps
• Attendance status (present, late, absent)
• Hours worked

Location Data

• GPS coordinates are collected only when you perform attendance actions (clock in/out, NFC scan, QR scan)
• Location data is used to verify attendance at designated work locations
• Location is not tracked continuously or in the background
• NFC scanning does not require location data

Device Information

• Device token for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
• Device platform (Android/iOS)

Camera Data

• Camera access is used solely for QR code scanning
• No images or video are captured, stored, or transmitted
• Camera is only active during the QR scanning session

NFC Data

• NFC tag identifiers are read for attendance check-in purposes
• No data is written to NFC tags

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Authenticate your identity and maintain your session
• Record and verify attendance at work locations
• Process leave requests and approvals
• Deliver push notifications for attendance alerts, leave approvals, and other work-related updates
• Provide attendance history and reports to you and your organization's administrators

Data Storage and Security

• Authentication tokens are stored securely using platform-specific encrypted storage
• All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Two-factor authentication (MFA) is supported for additional account security
• No sensitive data is stored in plain text on the device

Data Sharing

We do not:

• Sell your personal information to third parties
• Share your data with advertisers
• Use your data for profiling or targeted advertising

Your attendance and location data is shared only with:

• Your organization's authorized administrators and team leaders
• Our secure servers for processing and storage

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging — for push notifications (Google Privacy Policy)
• Google ML Kit — for on-device QR code scanning (processing is done locally on your device)
• Google Play Services — for location services (Google Privacy Policy)

Data Retention

• Your attendance data is retained as determined by your organization's policies
• Upon account deletion or deactivation, your locally stored data (tokens, cached user info) is removed from the device
• Server-side data retention is managed by your organization

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your attendance records through the app
• Request correction of inaccurate data through your organization's administrator
• Request deletion of your account and associated data

Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
